| The students in Mrs. Ayeni's class participated in a science pumpkin lesson. Students weighed pumpkins, measured pumpkins, counted the ribs, counted seeds, looked at the stings under a microscope, drew and labeled pumpkins, and read books about pumpkins. They used celery and die in water to see the how roots take in water. This was a great morning of pumpkin related centers. The library staff, Mrs. Gonzalez and Mr. Winter collaborated with Mrs. Ayeni to teach students about pumpkins and how they grow. |
