This is a really good book it is also very intresting. The book is about a very intresting and strange community the people in that community can't see color and can't feel the same emotions that we feel well they can but not all of the emotions. Like they can't feel the most important emotion of all love they know what it is but they don't understand it.
It is not because they don't want to feel it it is because they have been getting shots since they have been babies to take that all away from them. The people that take that away from them are called "elders" and they are the same it has been that way for a long time. The only person that can see color and feel more emotions is the reciver. The reciver is the most important Elder of all because he has all of the memories kept in him.And he can pass them all on to the reciver in training which is soon to be Jonas.
Jonas is the main character of this story he is soon to bee the reciver in traing which is really important because without the reciver the community would fall apart big time. That is all the information i have from chapter1-5 so ya I'll write more when I read more hope you enjoyed!
