Buster Posey is a great catcher for the San Francisco Giants. He was born on March 27, 1987 in Leesburg Georgia. He has 4 younger simblings and went to college at Florida State University. He was entered in the 2005 MLB draft but decided he wasn't ready for professional baseball yet. He was going to go to the Los Angeles Angels if he were to stay in the draft. A couple years after in 2008 he entered the M.L.B. draft again and was drafted by the San Francisco Giants they picked him 5th overall over hundreds of other great players. He was called up to the majors from the minors on September 11, 2009. Unfortunately, he didn't hit that game and went back to the minors at the end of that season. He was called up again May, 2010 and he was more then ready. On May 29th he played first base against the Arizona Diamondbacks, he got three hits and drove in three runs. Two weeks later he hit his first career homerun. Then the year after that he became the full time catcher.
