What a familiar topic for students with the Gold Rush! Your display is very appealing, I don't see students allowing these books to stay on the shelves very long. When the subject area in a book display is a subject the kids have learned, that is their hook. They cannot help but want to learn more. You have done a great job of hooking them with the multiple titles, but also having the images available is a great touch. I like that they are black and white, because it fits the time period. Looks like fun!

I love your historical fiction display! Not only do you have great titles about the Gold Rush you also included real images for students to get the feel of life back then. I agree with Ruth, the black and white pictures is a perfect touch for that time era.

I agree that students will LOVE to see topics they've studied on display. Displayed books seem to go so quickly! I also like the black and white photos; they are one more way to attract students to the display and books. Looks like a great selection of titles!
